IT Support Officer – Curtin University (Australia)

Curtin University is a leading Australian university committed to delivering innovative education, research, and digital learning experiences. We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Officer to provide technical support to staff and students while ensuring the reliable operation of the University's IT systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first- and second-level IT support via phone, email, online service desk, and in person.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Support classroom technology, audiovisual systems, and digital learning platforms.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system updates.
  • Maintain accurate support records and collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Follow cybersecurity, privacy, and IT service management policies.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in an IT help desk, desktop support, or technical support role.
  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team.
  • Experience with IT service management tools (e.g. ServiceNow) is an advantage.
