About the role

HIGH SPIRITS' is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our bustling kitchen team in Bunbury, Western Australia. As our Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Indian meals for our diners, while upholding our established culinary standards and reputation. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our thriving hospitality business.

Position Chef

Job type Full-Time Permanent

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per annum + Superannuation

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a diverse range of dishes from our seasonal menu
  • Ensuring all meals are delivered to the highest quality and presentation standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
  • Assisting with menu planning and development
  • Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required
  • Providing guidance and training to junior kitchen staff
  • Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
  • Minimum 1 or 2 years full-time relevant experience as a Chef
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations and supervise staff
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and OHS standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
