Job Brief

Are you passionate about Indian food and enjoy creating authentic, delicious dishes?

We are looking for an experienced Cook Indian Cuisine to join our growing restaurant team in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone who has strong hands-on experience preparing Indian dishes and takes pride in delivering consistent taste, quality, and presentation.

You will work as part of a professional kitchen team in a supportive environment with opportunities to grow your career in Australia.




Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards.
  • Handle food preparation, marination, cooking, and plating efficiently.
  • Maintain consistent taste, quality, and portion sizes.
  • Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, spices, sauces, gravies, and marinades.
  • Ensure food is stored, handled, and prepared safely.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients.
  • Help control food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
  • Keep the kitchen and cooking equipment clean and organised.
  • Work closely with the chef and other kitchen team members during busy service periods.
  • Follow Australian food safety, hygiene, and workplace requirements.
  • Assist with daily kitchen preparation and other duties as required.



Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as an Indian Cook in a restaurant, hotel, catering business, or similar food service environment.
  • Good knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine, cooking methods, spices, and ingredients.
  • Hands-on experience preparing Indian curries, gravies, rice dishes, breads, starters, and other Indian specialties.
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality.
  • Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, disciplined, and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Relevant culinary qualification is an advantage.
  • Previous experience working in Australia is an advantage.
