Gladstone Yacht Club – Waterfront Venue | Sponsorship Available

The Gladstone Yacht Club is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager / Duty Manager to join our leadership team. This is a hands‑on role in a busy, well‑loved waterfront venue, perfect for someone who thrives in fast‑paced hospitality and enjoys leading people.

About the Role

You’ll oversee daily restaurant, bar and kitchen operations, lead shifts, support staff, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and confidence managing busy services.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Leading FOH teams and supervising shifts

· Managing daily operations and service flow

· Delivering high‑quality customer service

· Communicating and liaising with the kitchen regarding daily service, menu changes, and event requirements

· Overseeing reservations, floor plans, and events

· Stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination

· Ensuring RSA, WHS, and food safety compliance

· Training and supporting FOH staff

· Cash handling, end‑of‑day procedures, and shift reporting

· Maintaining venue presentation and standards

· Assisting with rosters and labour management

What We’re Looking For

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Restaurant Manager, Duty Manager, or Shift Supervisor role

· Strong leadership skills and confidence managing busy services

· Excellent communication and customer service abilities

· Experience with POS systems and cash handling

· Understanding of RSA, WHS, and food safety requirements

· Ability to work across weekdays, weekends, and peak periods

· RSA required; RMLV preferred (or willingness to obtain)

· Takes pride in creating a welcoming, polished and efficient service environment.
