About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join an internationally recognised brand during its launch and expansion in Melbourne.

We are currently offering Casual, Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities for experienced, energetic and customer-focused Front of House (FOH) team members to help deliver the authentic Bikanervala experience to our customers.

Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced, professional and structured hospitality environment focused on excellent customer service, efficient operations, cleanliness and a welcoming dining experience.

As part of the foundation team, you will play an important role in establishing Bikanervala Melbourne's customer service standards and day-to-day front-of-house operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
• Welcome customers and assist them with menu selections and enquiries.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate POS systems and process cash, card and other payments.
• Serve food, beverages, Indian sweets, Chaat and other menu items professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining, service and counter areas.
• Assist with takeaway, dine-in and online orders.
• Ensure orders are correctly prepared and delivered to customers.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to support smooth service.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.

About you

• Minimum 1 year of Front of House, customer service or hospitality experience.
• Previous experience in a busy restaurant, café, quick-service restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
• Experience with Indian restaurants, sweets, Chaat or vegetarian dining environments will be highly regarded.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confident in taking orders and interacting professionally with customers.
• Previous experience using POS and payment systems is desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy and high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation and customer satisfaction.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required.
