Asees Indian Restaurant Wollongong owns and operates a full-service Indian restaurant and an adjoining function and events centre, catering to dine-in customers, private functions, corporate events, and large group bookings.

4 full-time Waiter positions are available for a customer-focused hospitality professional to support daily restaurant service and function centre operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Team Member will be responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service across restaurant and function operations, including but not limited to:

• Greeting customers and presenting menus in a professional and courteous manner
• Taking food and beverage orders accurately and delivering them promptly
• Providing table service during regular dining hours, private functions, and special events
• Assisting customers with menu selections and responding to enquiries regarding food and beverages
• Setting up, servicing, and packing down function rooms for events and group bookings
• Ensuring tables, service areas, and dining spaces are clean, organised, and well presented
• Handling customer requests and resolving service issues promptly and professionally
• Processing payments using POS systems and handling cash accurately
• Liaising with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Complying with food safety, hygiene, responsible service of alcohol (RSA), and workplace health and safety requirements

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Waiter or in a similar hospitality service role
• Experience working in high-volume restaurants or function/event settings
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and RSA requirements
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Reliable, well-presented, and team-oriented
