Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team at a busy Indian restaurant.

Duties include:

  • Assisting chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks
  • Washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans
  • Keeping the kitchen, preparation areas and equipment clean and organised
  • Assisting with receiving, unpacking and storing deliveries
  • Preparing vegetables, ingredients and other food items as directed
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and workplace cleanliness
  • Taking out rubbish and keeping waste areas clean
  • Following food safety, cleaning and workplace health and safety procedures
  • Supporting chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods
  • Completing general kitchen cleaning and other duties as required

About you:

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
