Job Description: Front of House (Casual)

Welcome to Tandoori Flames, an authentic and vibrant Indian restaurant located in the heart of Coolum Beach on the beautiful Sunshine Coast Regional Queens. We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Front of House professional to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis.

As a Front of House team member, you will be the face of Tandoori Flames, providing exceptional customer service to ensure an enjoyable and memorable dining experience for our valued guests. Your friendly and positive attitude will be key in creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting and seating guests in a timely and friendly manner, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance upon arrival.
- Taking and accurately recording food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary preferences are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Providing knowledgeable and detailed explanations of menu items, including ingredients, cooking methods, and recommendations to enhance our guests' dining experience.
- Delivering food and beverages to tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring proper timing and presentation.
- Monitoring guest satisfaction and promptly addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Processing payments accurately and efficiently, utilizing POS systems and handling cash transactions with diligence and precision.
- Upholding cleanliness and organization standards within the front of house area, including dining areas, restrooms, and entryways.
- Collaborating with team members and maintaining clear communication to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and following proper sanitation procedures to guarantee a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff.

Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently, maintaining composure under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the business needs.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and take initiative to resolve guest concerns effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy in order taking, billing, and maintaining cleanliness.
