Kitchen Hand (Food Preparation Focus) – Fine Dining Indian Restaurant

Location: Innaloo, WA 6018
Employment Type: Casual
Pay Rate: $33.00 – $40.00 per hour

We are a fine dining Indian restaurant seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand with strong food preparation skills to join our professional kitchen team.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-quality environment and takes pride in precision, consistency, and maintaining excellent kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and chop ingredients to a high standard
  • Assist chefs with daily mise en place and food preparation
  • Support plating and service operations
  • Complete dishwashing duties and maintain kitchen cleanliness
  • Perform end-of-service cleaning and kitchen resets
  • Assist with general kitchen organisation and hygiene standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in food preparation and confident knife skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy commercial kitchen
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Comfortable handling commercial-sized pots, pans, and kitchen equipment

Working Hours

  • Afternoon and evening shifts only
  • Weekend availability is essential

Requirements

  • Must be based locally or able to reliably commute to Innaloo, WA 6018
  • Must have valid Australian working rights (no sponsorship available)
