Full job description

Launch your insurance career with a role that gets you client-facing quickly, not stuck doing admin all day. As an Entry-Level Insurance Broker, you will work alongside experienced brokers to turn client needs into tailored insurance quotes, policies, and proposals. This is ideal if you are at the start of your career and want structured training while building real exposure to claims and underwriting conversations.

Benefits

  • Client exposure from day one: support senior brokers to evaluate insurance needs and prepare quotes, proposals, and policy documents for real clients
  • Claims and sales-adjacent experience valued: you will be operating in an environment that understands risk, covers, and renewals, with guidance from experienced brokers
  • Clear working structure: 5 days in the office (South Yarra location) so you are learning hands-on, with floor presence and access to coaching
  • Training with measurable progression: mentorship across the first phase of your role, with the potential for up to 10% bonus once you are established
  • Flexible work after probation: 1 day WFH after probation (once you have proven yourself)
  • A real team to learn from: 11-person team (currently 9 men), offering strong daily collaboration and coaching while you build confidence
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist brokers to review client insurance requirements and recommend appropriate coverage options
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and policy paperwork under guidance, building accuracy and client communication skills
  • Conduct focused research into insurance products, market conditions, and industry trends to support recommendations
  • Maintain accurate client records, including renewal follow-ups and claim-related administration
  • Handle client enquiries promptly with a professional, consultative approach to keep the process moving
  • Support the team to meet departmental targets, contributing to pipeline and renewal momentum
Requirements

  • Starting out in your career: recent graduate or early-career candidate
  • Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent study focus)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a careful attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset and comfort working through information accurately
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience is a plus (not required)
  • Any exposure to insurance, claims, or sales is strongly preferred (claims experience could be a great fit)
  • Ability to work 5 days in the office in South Yarra
