Job Description


We are seeking passionate Active Support Workers to join our casual team across our Northcote and Heatherton day programs.

Working Monday to Friday (8:45am–3:15pm), you will support Autistic adults in a community-based environment, helping them build life skills, independence, social connection, and participation in everyday activities.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that delivers meaningful, strengths-based support in a positive and engaging setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Autistic participants to achieve personal goals
  • Facilitate activities that build independence, communication and daily living skills
  • Promote social engagement, wellbeing and community participation
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive, multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to a safe, positive and inclusive environment

Qualifications


What You’ll Bring

  • Certificate III/IV in Disability, Community Services or Individual Support (completed or working towards – highly regarded)
  • Experience in day programs, supported accommodation or hospital settings (required)
  • Experience supporting adults with complex behaviours and support needs
  • Strong rapport-building and communication skills
  • Motivated, resilient and willing to learn
  • Driver’s licence (desirable)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Completion (or willingness to complete) of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module If you have not already completed this free module, click here to access it.
  • You may also be required to provide an international police clearance
