Position: Student Services Officer

Location: Good Shepherd Lutheran College

Howard Springs Middle/Senior School

Classification: Lutheran School Officer, Administration Stream - Grade 3

Salary range: $76,168 to $80,254 gross per annum

Position: Full Time - 38 hours per week

Maybe negotiated as Term Time plus 2 Non-Term Weeks

(41 weeks/year)

Good Shepherd Lutheran College is a co-educational, non-government school from Early Learning Centre (ELC) to Year 12 students with three campuses across Darwin: Howard Springs, Palmerston and Leanyer.

We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced and customer-focused administration professional who would like to join our dynamic team at the Howard Springs Middle and Senior School.

As a Student Services Officer, you will be a key point of contact for students, families and staff, providing front-line support and ensuring the efficient management of student information, attendance records and daily student services operations. You will play an important role in supporting student wellbeing through the administration of first aid, coordinating student communications, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the smooth operation of the College. This role requires a calm and professional approach, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.

We require you to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably within an education or student-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, families and staff.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records.
  • The ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound technology skills and confidence using information management systems and digital platforms.
  • Current First Aid qualifications, or the willingness to obtain and maintain them.
