Job Description
Our Adelaide Planning team is building real momentum, with a strong and growing pipeline of transport, infrastructure and urban development projects across South Australia. As an Urban Planning Intern, you'll join a collaborative team and gain hands-on experience working on a variety of projects while learning from experienced planners and multidisciplinary specialists across Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your planning knowledge and contribute to projects that help shape communities, cities and infrastructure.
How you'll make a difference
- Supporting the development of Master Plans, Strategic Plans and Development Applications.
- Contributing to transport, infrastructure and renewable energy projects through research, planning analysis and project documentation.
- Assisting with stakeholder engagement activities, including preparing materials for consultation and community engagement.
- Supporting the team to deliver timely, accurate and high-quality planning and approvals advice to clients.
- Collaborating with planners, engineers and environmental specialists on multidisciplinary projects while building your technical and professional skills.
- Participating in project meetings, site visits and learning opportunities to gain practical experience in urban planning.

Qualifications
- Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Urban, Environmental or a related Planning discipline
- Commencement: Able to work full time hours from mid November 2026 – mid February 2027.
- Working Rights: Candidates must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible to obtain the required Defence Security Clearance for this role.
