BAI Communications is one of Australia’s leading broadcast and telecommunications infrastructure businesses, managing a national network of transmission sites. Our Broadcast & Infrastructure Solutions team is responsible for the engineering, deployment, and asset investment - and we’re looking for the next generation of engineers to join us.


About the Internship

This internship is a hands-on introduction to broadcast transmission engineering and infrastructure management. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on live projects, gaining exposure to the technology and systems that keep Australia’s broadcast networks on air.

What you’ll get involved in:

  • Broadcast transmission systems - how they work, how they’re maintained, and how we keep them reliable
  • RF engineering and antenna systems across our national tower network
  • Power and energy infrastructure, including renewable and battery storage systems
  • Asset lifecycle and capital project support
  • Field site exposure (where applicable) and interaction with operational teams

Who we’re looking for

We’re targeting students currently enrolled in:

  • Bachelor of Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or similar)
  • Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering (or similar)
  • Combined or honours programmes in either discipline

Ideal candidates will have a genuine interest in how infrastructure works in the real world, a practical mindset, and the curiosity to learn in a technical environment. Penultimate or final-year students are preferred.
