-
Learn how a bank operates and how we work at CommBank.
-
Be supported to do your best work through access to leaders, program managers, buddies and a central learning team.
-
Expand your network and build relationships with inspirational peers and senior leaders that will last beyond the 10-week internship.

During the application process, we want to get to know the real you, why you’re excited to apply and why you’re a good fit for the role. In addition to your studies, don’t forget to tell us about any extra-curricular activities, side hustles and passion projects. Have a think about what these experiences have taught you (for example time management, prioritisation, communication skills) and how these skills can be applied in a professional context.
Most teams have adopted a hybrid approach to working, with at least half their time each month connecting in one of our office locations. We’re all about achieving the best outcomes for our customers, our teams and you.
If this opportunity excites you and you:
-
Are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident at the time of application; and
-
Are already residing in Australia and you’re an Australian resident for tax purposes; and
-
Are in your penultimate (second-last) year of your overall university degree; and
-
Are maintaining at least a credit average in your overall university degree. (Please note, if you are applying for Technology: Engineering, you will need a minimum GPA or WAM of 70).
Then apply now for our Summer Intern Program! Applications will close 11:55pm Syd/Melb time on 8 September 2026.
Please note, the application form accommodates both your legal and preferred name. Please ensure you enter your name as it appears on your ID documentation (eg. Passport) for the legal name. You then have the option to differentiate your preferred name in the separate field.
