Chef de Partie – Full Time

The Hedonist | Collaroy, NSW

The Hedonist is a modern Australian restaurant located opposite beautiful Collaroy Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Our menu is driven by seasonal produce with French technique and Argentinian influence, creating a dining experience that is both refined and approachable.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join our close-knit kitchen team and work alongside our Head Chef.

About the Role

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your own section while maintaining the high standards our guests have come to expect. You will work in a supportive environment where creativity, consistency, and teamwork are valued.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef ready to step up.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen organisation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service.
  • High attention to detail and pride in presentation.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
  • Strong communication skills and fluent English.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Full Australian working rights or a valid visa with unrestricted work rights.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and run your designated section during service.
  • Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with stock rotation and minimising waste.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Help train and support junior kitchen staff when required.

What We Offer

  • Salary between $60,000–$65,000 per year (including superannuation), depending on experience.
