Front of House Wait Staff – Rowanos Restaurant

About Rowanos

Rowanos Restaurant is a well-established Italian restaurant known for its delicious food, warm hospitality and exceptional dining experience.

Our Croydon South venue is a busy, vibrant restaurant catering to families, couples, large groups and private functions.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused Front of House Wait Staff to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, professional and attentive customer service.
  • Welcome guests, take orders and deliver food and beverages efficiently.
  • Ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience from arrival to departure.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of our food menu, beverages and daily specials.
  • Recommend menu items, wines, cocktails and desserts to increase sales.
  • Handle customer enquiries and special dietary requirements professionally.
  • Set up, clean and maintain tables and dining areas.
  • Assist with large group bookings, private functions and special events.
  • Process customer payments accurately using POS systems.
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety.
  • Follow restaurant procedures, RSA requirements and workplace safety standards.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, café or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Friendly, confident and professional presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced restaurant.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn food and beverage menus.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Current Victorian RSA certificate required.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and weekdays.
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering excellent service.
