Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher – Fine Dining Italian Restaurant

Location: Melbourne CBD
Employment Type: Casual

We are an Italian fine-dining restaurant located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, and we are looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher to join our professional kitchen team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher, you will play an important role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly throughout service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Washing and sanitising dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment
  • Keeping the dishwashing area, kitchen and storage areas clean and organised
  • Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required
  • Ensuring rubbish and recycling are managed appropriately
  • Cleaning kitchen floors, benches and equipment
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
  • Assisting with deliveries, stock movement and general kitchen duties
  • Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure environment
  • Physically fit and able to remain on your feet for extended periods
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Well-presented and committed to maintaining high hygiene standards
  • Willing to learn and take direction
  • Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate

Experience in a fine-dining or Italian restaurant environment will be highly regarded.
