DLJ Holdings Pty Ltd trading as Sushi Wawa is Perth’s favourite Japanese restaurant, celebrated for its fresh, high-quality Japanese cuisine prepared right before your eyes. From classic sushi and sashimi to signature rolls, Ramen, Udon , Tempura, and our famous Sushi Wawa tacos — we are passionate about flavour, presentation, and consistency.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our talented kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation, including sushi ingredients, vegetables, sauces, and hot dishes
  • Support the chefs in producing consistent, high-quality Japanese and fusion dishes
  • Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards at all times
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and well-stocked
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced open kitchen environment
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (Japanese or Asian cuisine preferred but not essential)
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a busy restaurant
