Full job description

Sushi on Fire is a busy, high-quality sushi restaurant dedicated to serving fresh, delicious food. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our team and help us deliver exceptional, beautifully prepared dishes to our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and roll a variety of high-quality sushi, including maki and nigiri.
  • Cook and season sushi rice to the correct consistency and flavor.
  • Maintain a spotless, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to ensure fresh ingredients are always available.
  • Work efficiently during peak service hours to ensure orders are fulfilled quickly and accurately.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Sushi Maker or in a similar kitchen role is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Solid knife skills and an eye for presentation and detail.
  • Hustle & Focus: The ability to work fast while maintaining high standards of quality in a busy environment.
  • Team Player: You have a positive attitude, communicate well with the front and back-of-house teams, and are ready to pitch in where needed.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends and busy evening shifts.
