About the Company: Libra Jewellery Pty Ltd, is located at 14C Henley Road, Homebush West, NSW2140. The company is involved in the retail of jewellery. Provide clients with quality service and valuable experience in jewellery making.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Jewellery Designer to join our team at Homebush retail shop. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating unique traditional Indian and Sri Lanka jewelleries that reflect the cultural heritage and individuality of our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Designing and crafting Indian and Sri Lankan cultural wedding jewelry, including bridal sets, necklaces, earrings, and bangles;
  • Incorporating traditional motifs and techniques into modern designs;
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their preferences and create custom-made designer pieces that meet their specifications;
  • Utilizing advanced diamond-cutting techniques to enhance the beauty and brilliance of gemstones;
  • Ensuring precious, attention to detail in all aspects of jewelry making and care;
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on jewellery making and diamond;
  • Analysing designs and specifications for jewelry and precious metal items;
  • Evaluating the quality and value of jewelry;
  • Crafting molded metal through cutting, filing, hammering, shaping, and bending, utilizing specialized manual and powered tools of form;
  • Constructing items through soldering, screwing, riveting, and other methods of joining;
  • Securing gemstones within setting prongs and ridges, ensuring a smooth and flawless final presentation;
  • Restoring jewelry through soldering, replacing, and reconstructing worn or damaged components;
  • Using precision hand and power tools and jigs, cut and divide stones to approximate the final shape, secure stones, and shapes while cutting angles, smoothing, and polishing, and finally, finish articles through the use of files, emery paper, and buffing machines.

Qualification & Experience: The suitable candidate will hold a Bachelor degree with 1 year of experience or at least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
