For over many years, we have been at the forefront of the diamond industry, sourcing and crafting the finest diamonds and jewellery with unmatched precision and care. As a Jewellery Designer at Superior, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Design and craft intricate, high-value pieces custom jewellery pieces like necklace, bangles, earrings, bracelets, anklets, armlets, rings, toe rings, finger bracelets, piercing rings ensuring precision and high-quality workmanship.

2. Conceptualise and create initial design concepts, mood boards, and detailed technical drawings or illustrations and design prototypes of jewellery, using metals, precious stones, by combining traditional aesthetics with modern trends.

3. Using software like Rhino and Matrix turn sketches into precise 3D digital models ready for manufacturing.

4. Manage the entire production process, from concept to finished product including choosing appropriate precious metals (gold, platinum) and gemstones (diamonds, rubies) based on cost, durability, and design.

5. Work with gemmologists to assess the 4Cs (cut, colour, clarity, and carat) of diamonds to ensure they match the design's quality and budget.

6. Determine the ideal gold purity (e.g., 18K or 22K) and colour (yellow, rose, or white gold) that will best complement and secure the diamonds.

7. Price, grade, colour grade factors in precious gemstone, semi- precious stones and exclusive Diamonds.

8. Conduct quality control checks and inspection for the design, metalworking and stone setting to ensure all pieces met industry standards.

9. Ensure that all diamonds are tightly secured in their settings and that the metal edges are smooth and comfortable for the wearer.

10. Work with clients to create bespoke designs that met their specifications and preferences.

11. Assist customers in selecting and purchasing jewellery pieces, providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs.

12. Collaborate with other artisans and team members to streamline production processes and ensure that the final product matches the original design vision.

13. Research fashion trends, forecast consumer preferences, and assist in the commercial pricing of collections.

Required Skills

1. Completion of a Jewellery Designing course

2. Minimum three years of relevant work experience

3. Hands on mastery in using industry-standard software like Rhino, Matrix, and AutoCAD for 3D modelling and rendering prior to manufacturing.

4. Ability to accurately sketch and colour designs by hand, as well as digitally render gemstones, metals, and intricate patterns.

5. Understanding the properties of precious metals and a strong ability to identify, grade, and select diamonds and coloured gemstones.

6. Comprehension of design principles

7. Precision in calculating dimensions, weight, and stone settings to ensure the piece is both beautiful and structurally durable.

8. Understanding of the fashion landscape and demonstrate awareness of trends and latest advancements
