Your new role:
Maintain and develop own continuous learning including:
Set own self-directed learning objectives prior to term and review and monitor progress to objectives throughout the term.
Regularly attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
Identify deficiencies in own knowledge and seek assistance or information through accessing appropriate resources.
Present to team members (e.g. case histories) to develop the skills of the team.
Ensure assessment is completed by relevant supervisor and present to the Director of Clinical Training in a timely manner.
Evaluate and provide feedback on the term to the Director of Clinical Training.
Attend orientation to ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant Queensland Health policies and procedures.

About you:
Participate in the provision of clinical care to patients of the hospital and district health service including:

Participate in patient history taking and diagnosis, including ordering relevant tests.
Participate in the development of patients' treatment and development plans.
Participate in the provision of emergency treatment to patients.
Ensure treatment orders are appropriately documented (including medications and general management plans).
Develop discharge summaries for patients in a timely manner.
Access appropriate information regarding consent for operations and procedures and appropriately inform the patient of this information.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
