About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business by ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, assisting with statutory compliance obligations, and supporting project and operational finance activities. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare overhead journal entries, group recharges, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Complete daily bank reconciliations and assist with cash management activities.
  • Manage bank guarantee and bond facilities, including new security requests and reconciliations.
  • Oversee staff expense claims (petty cash and corporate card) and prepare journal entries.
  • Oversee new job setup and manage general Jobpac access enquiries.
  • Support internal stakeholders with finance-related queries.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1–2 years in an Accounting or Finance support role.
  • Exposure to general ledger, reconciliations, and tax compliance processes.
  • Understanding of GST, BAS, and FBT requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Jobpac) and MS Excel.
