The Mid North Coast Cancer Institute (MNCCI) has facilities at Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie Health Campus.
The Coffs Harbour Hospital (CHH) is a 355-bed, level five teaching, busy regional referral centre that offers a broad range of specialist services including general medicine, cardiology, general surgery, vascular surgery, orthopaedics, interventional radiology, day surgery and emergency theatre services (in our new state of the art operating theatres) As well as coronary care (including coronary angiography unit), intensive care, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, urology, oncology, palliative care, rehabilitation, stroke, acute renal dialysis, mental health (including high dependency) outpatient clinics and our well-staffed Emergency Department is the largest between Newcastle and the Tweed Coast with an annual census of over 40,000 presentations. Coffs Harbour Hospital is the busiest regional trauma centre in NSW and the hospital recently completed a 200-million-dollar redevelopment, opening the huge clinical services building in late 2022 – an addition to the already large footprint.
Coffs Harbour is one of two places on the east coast of Australia where the mountains meet the sea. Our town is well connected with flights to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane and the temperate climate means Coffs is known for its relaxed lifestyle, coastal walks, surfing beaches, hiking, camping, mountain biking, whale watching, deep sea fishing, golfing, and wonderful local produce.
The city is a regional hub for business and Government and offers an excellent range of public and private schools, including North Coast TAFE, Southern Cross University, NSW University Rural Clinical School (UNSW), National Marine Science Centre and Regional Conservatorium of Music.
