About the opportunity
An opportunity to join a multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team providing support to consumers experiencing mental illness, their families and referring agencies. The chance to be a part of the welcoming, friendly and highly skilled team at the Wyndham Clinic, Hoppers Crossing. We are passionate about providing an accessible high-quality service to the rapid growing, diverse community we serve.
- Part Time – Permanent Role
- Provide quality and high-level mental health assessments, formulations and recommendations for clients that have been referred.
- Offer consultation to referring teams and recommend appropriate service linkages
- Attend regular multidisciplinary clinical reviews to discuss referrals escalate challenging situations as appropriate
Additional expectation about the role:
- Possess critical skills set in providing assessment and monitoring of patients' physical and mental state and confidence in putting relapse management plans and safely managing a deteriorating consumer
- Provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers in times of need.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to advocate for clients as and when required
- Be available to offer clinical supervision to junior staff members when required.
- Possess exceptional judgement skills which will support the prioritization of referrals.
What you will bring to this position:
- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
