Full job description

MAKBAK is a fast growing food manufacturing business supplying retail and wholesale products across Victoria. Our production facility operates under strict food safety and HACCP systems and services major retailers and independent customers.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Kitchen Team Lead with strong HACCP experience to lead daily production operations.

Work schedule

  • Monday to Friday only
  • No weekend work
  • No late night shifts
  • Consistent, predictable hours

About the role

This is a hands on leadership role within a high volume commercial kitchen and food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading and supervising daily kitchen production staff
  • Coordinating production schedules to meet order requirements
  • Implementing, monitoring, and enforcing HACCP plans and food safety procedures
  • Completing HACCP records, checks, and corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen controls
  • Training staff on food safety and operational procedures
  • Monitoring stock, yields, and waste
  • Maintaining an audit ready, organised production environment

About you

You will have

  • Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or food manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated hands on HACCP experience
  • Experience leading or supervising kitchen or production teams
  • Strong understanding of food safety documentation and compliance
  • A calm, practical leadership style
  • Ability to work efficiently in a structured production environment
