ParkBongSook City Restaurant (PBS Chinatown Pty Ltd)
Position: Cook
- Permanent full time position 38 hours per week $78,000 ~ $80,000 per year + superannuation Sydney CBD
We are a very busy Korean Restaurant located in the heart of Sydney CBD, serving high-quality dishes in a fast-paces and friendly environment. We are looking for a skilled motivated Cook for our kitchen operations.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Korean dishes Assist in food preparation activities including washing, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients. Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations and timely preparation of meals during service periods. Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented consistently to maintain quality, taste, and presentation standards. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked safely and efficiently. Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory control to ensure freshness of ingredients and minimise food wastage. Receive and inspect food supplies and ingredients to ensure quality and compliance with kitchen requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, cooking equipment, utensils, and storage areas. Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures in accordance with relevant regulations and restaurant policies.
Successful applicants must have:
- Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant work experience as a Korean or Modern Asian cuisine as a cook Relevant commercial cookery qualification (Certificate III or IV or higher, or overseas equivalent) Knowledge of Korean cooking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation methods Ability to prepare and cook food efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency. Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements
