Print Reality is an established large format printing business based in Coopers Plains, Queensland. The company specialises in the design, production and installation of retail signage, point of sale materials, vehicle graphics, display solutions, and exhibition-related visual projects. It is known for delivering creative visual outcomes for retail, corporate and promotional environments, with services extending across large format printing, signage solutions, retail displays, exhibition graphics, and custom visual concepts. Founded and still operated by its original team, Print Reality has built a strong reputation for combining practical production capability with creative thinking. The business works on a wide variety of projects, including vehicle wraps, retail branding, point of sale displays, light box concepts, specialty visual installations, props, and custom promotional graphics for commercial clients and marketing agencies. The Illustrator will play an important role in developing original visual concepts and artwork that support the company’s signage, vehicle graphics, retail display, exhibition, and promotional output. The successful candidate will be expected to translate ideas into engaging visual material that is suitable for both creative presentation and final production.
Job Role: Illustrator | Print Reality – Coopers Plains, QLD
Key Responsibilities
- developing original illustration concepts and transforming ideas into custom visual artwork that aligns with client briefs, campaign themes and project objectives
- producing detailed digital illustrations and vector-based artwork for a variety of commercial applications, including print materials, promotional pieces, merchandise, packaging and branded visuals
- creating high-quality illustrated artwork by hand and through digital platforms for use in murals, wall art, vehicle-related artwork, T-shirt graphics and other creative visual applications
- preparing preliminary sketches, draft concepts and layout ideas to communicate proposed illustration directions before final artwork development
- determining the most suitable illustration style, visual approach, technique and medium for each project to achieve the desired artistic and commercial outcome
- interpreting reference materials, supplied concepts, photographs, product themes and creative briefs to produce original and visually engaging illustrations
- using Adobe Illustrator extensively to create, refine and finalise illustration work suitable for professional print and reproduction requirements
- using Adobe Photoshop to edit, enhance, colour-correct and improve illustration quality where required
- designing illustrated packaging visuals and artwork that incorporate thematic, creative and product-specific elements in line with client expectations
- collaborating with clients and internal team members to discuss concepts, present artwork ideas and refine illustrations throughout different stages of project development
- revising and improving illustrations based on feedback, ensuring the final artwork meets both creative expectations and practical production needs
- preparing and optimising illustration files for print production, including appropriate file formatting, sizing, resolution, layering and colour settings
- ensuring artwork is suitable for reproduction across different formats and surfaces, including printed materials, wall applications, merchandise and vehicle-based projects
- researching artistic styles, market trends, visual references and contemporary illustration techniques to support the development of fresh and original work
- maintaining consistency in artistic quality, visual storytelling and brand alignment across all assigned illustration projects
- contributing creative input to the development of custom artwork solutions that are distinctive, visually appealing and appropriate to the client’s intended use
- managing multiple illustration projects within required timeframes while maintaining a high standard of detail, originality and finish
Skills and Experience Required
- at least 3 years of relevant experience as an Illustrator or in a closely related visual design role
- an AQF Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Illustration, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts or a related field
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation
Position Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week
