Pedagogical Performance Partner | Journey Early Learning

At Journey Early Learning, we believe exceptional outcomes for children begin with empowered educators, strong educational leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement.

As we continue to grow across Victoria, we're seeking an experienced Pedagogical Performance Partner to join our Quality and Performance team (operations). This is a unique opportunity to influence practice across multiple services, build capability in Educational Leaders, and help shape high-quality learning experiences for children.

If you're driven by pedagogy, love mentoring others, and want to make an impact beyond a single centre, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager of Quality and Centre Performance, you will work closely with Educational Leaders, Centre Leadership Teams and Performance Managers to strengthen pedagogical practice across Journey's Victorian network.

This is a specialist role focused on educational leadership, professional learning and practice development. Rather than managing operational performance, you'll partner with leaders to build capability, strengthen curriculum implementation and support continuous quality improvement.

You'll play a key role in implementing Journey's Educational Leader Framework, facilitating professional learning opportunities, and creating meaningful pathways for Educational Leaders to grow their influence and impact.

This role offers the opportunity to hand on support more than 35 services across Victoria, working collaboratively to drive excellence in teaching, learning and children's outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Coach and mentor Educational Leaders across multiple services

Lead the implementation of Journey's Educational Leader Framework

Facilitate professional development, learning workshops and hub meetings

Design and deliver engaging pedagogical training and learning experiences

Support leaders to translate educational theory into everyday practice

Partner with Performance Managers to strengthen educational outcomes

Promote contemporary pedagogical approaches and children's rights-based practices

Support reflective practice, critical thinking and continuous improvement

Role model best practice within services when required

Build capability across teams to strengthen curriculum, documentation and intentional teaching

Contribute to Journey's broader pedagogical strategy and quality initiatives

About You:
You are a highly skilled educational leader who is passionate about supporting others to grow.

You understand that sustainable improvement happens through coaching, mentoring and meaningful professional relationships. You're confident facilitating learning, challenging thinking respectfully, and helping leaders connect theory with practice.

You'll also bring:
Extensive experience within Early Childhood Education and Care

Demonstrated success as an Educational Leader or in a quality-focused leadership role

Strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogy, children's rights and educational theory

Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and Approved Learning Frameworks

Experience facilitating professional development and adult learning

Exceptional communication, coaching and relationship-building skills

The ability to influence practice across multiple stakeholders and services

Strong organisational and time management skills

A willingness to travel regularly throughout Victoria

Why Join Journey?:
At Journey, we believe our people are our greatest strength. We are committed to creating a culture where our teams feel supported, valued and inspired to do their best work.

You'll enjoy:
Annual performance bonus opportunity

Car allowance and fuel expenses covered

Flexible working arrangements

Access to professional development and leadership growth opportunities

The opportunity to influence educational practice across more than 35 services

A collaborative and supportive leadership team

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Birthday leave

A workplace culture built on connection, growth and continuous improvement

Our Safeguarding Commitment

Journey Early Learning is committed to safeguarding children and promoting their safety, wellbeing and inclusion. We expect all employees to share this commitment and uphold our Child Safe Environment Policy and Child Safety Code of Conduct.

Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain:
Valid Working with Children Check

Relevant Early Childhood qualification

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications

National Child Safety Certificate

Relevant clearances and compliance requirements for the role

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you're passionate about educational leadership, mentoring others and creating exceptional outcomes for children, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and help shape the future of pedagogy and practice across Journey Early Learning.
