As the Talent Partner, you will hold primary accountability for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the OPP’s recruitment landscape. Working within the broader People and Culture (P&C) team, you will serve as the organisation's dedicated subject matter expert, providing a proactive, hands-on recruitment service that directly aligns with our strategic goals. This includes managing recruitment across diverse roles, overseeing end-to-end processes, and leading campaigns, while partnering with stakeholders to understand current and future business needs.
What We Are Looking For
About Us:
Reporting to the Manger, People Services & Advisory the Talent Partner will take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle, establishing best practices across the OPP and equipping people leaders with the insights and capabilities needed to make informed and effective hiring decision. From driving early career initiatives and representing the OPP in the market, to embedding robust internal succession pipelines, you will be the driving force behind how we attract and secure talent.
You will:
- Act as the trusted internal consultant to hiring managers and department heads, offering expert guidance to enhance overall hiring effectiveness.
- Drive the full recruitment lifecycle from job posting to placement, ensuring seamless efficiency, compliance, and an exceptional candidate experience.
- Design and execute targeted talent sourcing and selection strategies tailored to the unique needs of our diverse business units.
- Lead the coordination and execution of early talent engagement initiatives, including university partnerships, job fairs, and targeted entry-level campaigns.
- Proactively build and nurture talent pools for critical business areas to reduce time-to-hire and elevate candidate quality.
What We Are Looking For
- Subject Matter Expertise: Deep understanding of contemporary HR processes, talent acquisition market trends, and advanced sourcing tools.
- Campaign Leadership: Demonstrated experience designing and executing impactful, creative recruitment campaigns that deliver measurable results.
- Consultative Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.
- Systems Proficiency: Experience managing and optimizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) alongside intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Compliance & Governance: Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and Victorian Public Sector Commission (VPSC) hiring standards and practices
