This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated law student with a genuine interest in personal injury law who wants to develop practical legal skills and gain exposure to a broad range of CTP matters.

About the role

Based in our CTP Hub, you will provide support to various solicitors across the CTP practice, gaining valuable insight into the day-to-day work involved in personal injury claims.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Arranging medical appointments and managing client diaries
• Drafting correspondence and other legal documentation
• Reviewing client files and contacting clients to obtain instructions
• Assisting with drafting client statements
• Drafting applications on behalf of clients to the Personal Injury Commission
• Preparing submissions in relation to medical disputes
• Drafting letters of instruction to medical practitioners
• Supporting solicitors with file management and general administrative tasks
• Collaborating with various solicitors across the CTP practice

About you

We are looking for a law student who is keen to gain meaningful practical experience and develop a career in personal injury law.

You will ideally have:

• Current tertiary study in Law
• A genuine interest in personal injury law
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities
• Confidence communicating with clients professionally and empathetically
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Previous legal administration, clerk or paralegal experience is advantageous but not essential

Most importantly, you will be someone who is keen to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to build a strong foundation for a career in personal injury law.
