About the role

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused La Mono Counter Staff/Waiter to join our vibrant team in Merrylands, NSW 2160. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional table service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our valued customers.

Australian work rights are essential for this position.

This role requires availability to work both day and evening shifts.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and seating customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Taking food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen team
  • Serving food and drinks to customers in a timely and attentive way
  • Ensuring the dining area is clean, tidy and well-stocked at all times
  • Handling cash and processing payments accurately
  • Providing excellent customer service and addressing any customer queries or concerns
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to contribute to the smooth running of the business

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide friendly and efficient service
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Basic cash handling and point-of-sale system skills
  • A passion for food, coffee and creating an exceptional customer experience
