Position overview
The ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy (CLGP) is a progressive and newly established College that brings together four world-leading academic schools dedicated to shaping the future of law, governance, regulation, policy and population health. As part of Australia’s only national university, the College fosters excellence in research, education and engagement, driving impactful contributions to national and global challenges. The College provides an intellectually rich community, committed to providing a collaborative and supportive environment for academics, students, and professionals to thrive.
The ANU Crawford School of Public Policy is one of four Schools within CLGP and one of the world’s leading public policy schools. The Crawford School is the University's focal point for contributing to public policy research, education and policy impact. Its graduate programs have trained many of the region’s leaders, and its research has impacted on policy making around the world. Public policy scholarship at Crawford School is characterised by high quality, policy-relevant research across a diverse range of disciplines.
The Crawford School is home to numerous research collaboration and centres, large-scale partnerships with government, and multiple academic departments. With an exciting portfolio of educational programs, a thriving executive education portfolio, and a substantial higher degree research community, the Crawford School has breadth and depth across many areas of public policy, as well as expertise in public policy processes and institutions.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting the next generation of Crawford School academics to help shape our future. We are excited to welcome colleagues committed to making a difference through excellence in education, research, and engagement. As one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary public policy schools, we are proud of our history and excited about our future.
We are especially interested to hear from colleagues who bring expertise in areas where we want to grow and have a global impact, with priorities being:
- First Nations policy
- AI adoption and policy
- Urban development
- Public sector leadership
Our newest colleagues will be developing, or will have developed, ambitious and innovative policy-focused agendas. They will be committed to excellence in education, have experience in teaching at the postgraduate level, and be motivated by engagement with the practice of public policy. With a thriving higher degree community, there will be ample opportunity to help train the next generation of public policy scholars who choose to pursue their PhD studies with us.
Members of the Crawford School make valuable contributions to the collective aspirations, leadership and governance of the ANU, CLGP and the School through various service activities appropriate to level of appointment. All members of our School are expected to undertake service that helps in their own development and also contributes to our community.
We are seeking to welcome two new colleagues, with appointment to be made at either Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) depending on attributes and experience. Following appointment, our newest colleagues will join one of our three academic departments, depending on their disciplinary expertise.
We look forward to hearing from you.
