Full job description

DESCRIPTION

Our operations network, known for our speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our team as a Regional Loss Prevention Manager. In this key role, you will develop and own the security strategy for a growing region with developing operational density, composed of multiple clusters of operational sites across the end-to-end supply chain. You will be accountable for setting the direction of security as a service in an emerging market environment, protecting our people and preventing loss through strategic planning and regional leadership tailored to a Rest of World (RoW) growing market.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop, own, and execute the strategic goals and objectives for security and loss prevention across a region with developing operational density
  • Manage and mentor a team of Cluster Loss Prevention Managers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in security practices
  • Establish and evolve regional security standards, ensuring all operational sites are compliant, regularly audited, and maintain a robust physical security posture
  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies for the region, encompassing prevention, intervention, and investigation
  • Build strategic partnerships with senior management to align security initiatives with business objectives and drive security practices that scale with regional growth
  • Manage resource allocation and strategic planning across mixed operational environments of established clusters and developing individual sites

A day in the life
As a Regional Loss Prevention Manager, you lead a team of Cluster Loss Prevention Managers (CLPMs) and directly manage staffing of operational nodes that are not yet fully developed into formal clusters. Your focus is on strategic development, regional leadership, and long-term planning to drive security excellence across your entire area of responsibility. You develop and own the regional security strategy for a region with lower operational density typical of RoW markets, ensuring that the region can effectively deploy resources to deliver day-to-day operational services across both established clusters and emerging operational nodes. You set strategic priorities and assess high-level risks to ensure meeting service level agreements agreed with your internal customers and proactively mitigate potential business impacts. You will use your expertise to provide strategic guidance and mentorship to your entire team and to remove blockers that avoid them achieving their goals and objectives. While your team manages the day-to-day tactical and operational activities within each of the clusters, you focus on long-term strategic planning, cross-regional collaboration, and driving transformational change in security practices. You will ensure your team will identify, evaluate, and mitigate all security risks within your region and share findings and best practices with the wider business. You are responsible for ensuring all operational sites within your region are compliant with security standards, are regularly audited, and all sites have a robust physical security posture. You own the strategic goals within your region and manage the planning of recruiting as well as frugal deployment of resources. Finally, you will engage senior management within your region to ensure a positive working relationship, understand opportunities to support, and provide security risk guidance.
