Key responsibilities include:
- Have an extensive understanding surrounding the operation of enterprise IT assets, including computers, servers, printers, networking equipment and ICT components.
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading system software, server applications, and ICT hardware in line with educational requirements.
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring network stability, reliability, and security across school facilities.
- Knowledge of iOS device management applications such as Jamf
- Knowledge of Microsoft device management system such as Intune
- Managing user accounts, system access, and data backup procedures to ensure secure and consistent availability of services.
- Providing service support for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Ensuring the implementation of robust disaster recovery plans and system security protocols, including endpoint security and firewall configurations.
- Liaising with third-party vendors and service providers to manage ICT assets, software licensing, and service level agreements.
- Documenting system configurations, network topologies, and operational procedures in alignment with IT policy and compliance standards.
- Supporting school-wide digital learning platforms, including LMS tools, school portals, and communication systems.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary degree or IT certifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in systems administration or network support
- Experience with Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, Mobile Device Management and backup/recovery tools
- Familiarity with school-based IT environments and education technology platforms is advantageous
- Must hold a current Working with Children Check
- Must have full working rights
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.
