Robanlou Pty Ltd operates multiple McDonald’s Family Restaurants in the Parramatta region of Sydney.
Given the needs of the business, we now require a Store Manager to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be required to work out of our premises at McDonald’s Olympic Boulevard, Homebush Bay.
The duties and responsibilities of the Store Manager position include:
Operational Management:
- Manage daily store operations in alignment with McDonald’s operational standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house activities including product flow, food safety, kitchen efficiency, and shift execution.
- Monitor compliance with HACCP protocols, WHS legislation, and internal audit frameworks
· Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, ensuring all compliance documentation is current and fully auditable.
· Implement, monitor, and review compliance registers, risk controls, and operational checklists.
Industrial Relations & Award Compliance
- Ensure all employment practices comply with the Fast Food Industry Award 2020, including:
- Overseeing rostering in line with ordinary hours, penalties, and break entitlements
- Managing and complying with the children and young person’s employment legislation.
- Record-keeping and payroll compliance
Financial & Inventory Oversight
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as sales growth, COGS, wastage, and labour-to-sales ratio.
- Manage budgets, including cost forecasting and P&L accountability.
- Lead inventory control using digital stock management systems, ensuring loss prevention and supplier compliance.
Team Development & Leadership Pipeline
- Lead structured training programs aligned with McDonald’s L&D frameworks to upskill shift leaders, supervisors, and assistant managers.
- Establish performance goals, deliver coaching feedback, and support succession planning initiatives.
- Promote a compliant, safe, and inclusive work environment in line with McDonald’s policies and the Fair Work Act.
Customer Experience & Quality Control
- Implement customer service standards and training programs to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service.
- Address customer escalations through structured complaint management and root cause analysis.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Management, Business, or Hospitality AND at least 1 year of relevant industry experience; OR
- At least 3 years full-time relevant experience in a compliance-led management role within the QSR, hospitality, or retail sectors.
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will have:
- Working knowledge of the Fast Food Industry Award 2020 and experience in implementing award-based compliance.
· Current and valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required).
· Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and Fire Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
· Proficiency with operational systems such as InMoment, BrandM8.
· Experience preparing for or managing compliance audits, risk reviews, and workplace investigations.
· Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills, particularly with training and mentoring upcoming management staff.
· High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
A base salary of $77,500 per annum (plus superannuation) will be offered to the successful candidate.
