About the Role

Mechfield Facility Maintenance is seeking a motivated Apprentice Mechanical Plumber to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role where you will gain practical experience working across commercial and industrial sites throughout Victoria, supporting the installation, servicing and maintenance of HVAC+R systems.

You will work alongside experienced professionals and build a long-term career in mechanical plumbing within a supportive and safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the installation of HVAC systems including ducted air conditioning, VRF/VRV systems, cooling towers, boilers, and ventilation systems
  • Support servicing, maintenance and repair works across client sites
  • Interpret drawings and assist with equipment layout and installation
  • Identify required materials and assist with ordering and tracking deliveries
  • Complete electronic job documentation including reports, JSAs and timesheets
  • Assist with quoting for additional works where required
  • Provide general site support and handyman duties as needed
  • Participate in emergency call-outs and high-priority works
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and compliance requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A genuine interest in mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems
  • Commitment to completing a trade qualification (or already commenced)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely on site
  • White Card (preferred)

  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • ARC Trainee Licence (or willingness to obtain)
