Corporate Accountant

Full Time Permanent | Sydney CBD | Hybrid-2 days in the office

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. This is an excellent junior-level opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or an early-career accountant who is looking to build a strong foundation in corporate finance within a large, supportive organisation.

Working closely with an experienced Finance Manager and a collaborative finance team, you'll gain exposure to month-end reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, reconciliations and process improvement, while developing your technical and commercial accounting skills.

About the Role

As a Corporate Accountant, you'll support the delivery of accurate and timely financial information for I-MED's Corporate business unit. You'll play an important role in ensuring financial integrity, supporting business decision-making, and contributing to the ongoing success of Australia's largest diagnostic imaging network.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports, analysis and commentary on monthly results.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Raise invoices and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Monitor financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
• Partner with stakeholders across Finance and Corporate teams to provide financial support and insights.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and finance projects.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting and analysis.

About You

We're looking for someone who is motivated to learn, enjoys working with numbers, and has strong attention to detail.

You'll bring:

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Progress towards, or an interest in commencing, a professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
• Previous accounting experience through a graduate role, assistant accountant position or similar
• Accounting experience within a healthcare setting would be an advantage but not essential.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a high-performing finance team.
