Behind every successful practice is a strong and organised team, and we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to help support the ongoing success of ours.

This is a flexible part-time position that would suit someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records, and values building lasting professional relationships. You will work closely with the Practice Director and our external accountants, becoming a trusted member of the team.

About the Role

As our Bookkeeper, you will oversee the day-to-day financial administration of the practice, ensuring our accounts, payroll and reporting processes run smoothly and efficiently.

We are seeking someone who is organised, reliable and proactive, with strong bookkeeping experience and a genuine commitment to accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

· Managing day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero.

· Processing accounts payable and receivable.

· Completing bank, credit card and merchant reconciliations.

· Processing payroll and superannuation.

· Monitoring cash flow and maintaining financial records.

· Preparing BAS information for accountant review.

· Reconciling Medicare, patient and other practice receipts.

· Assisting with monthly financial reporting.

· Liaising with external accountants and advisers.

· Supporting continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

About You

You will ideally bring:

· A minimum of three years' bookkeeping experience.

· Strong working knowledge of Xero.

· Experience with payroll processing and superannuation.

· Excellent attention to detail and reconciliation skills.

· Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

· A professional, positive and approachable manner.

· The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Experience That Would Be Highly Regarded

· Previous experience in a medical, healthcare or allied health environment.

· Familiarity with Medicare and healthcare billing processes.

· BAS preparation experience.

· Experience working with multiple entities or trust structures.
