1Medical is a specialist medical recruitment company that provides doctors to hospitals and clinics across Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Due to continued growth 1Medical are seeking a General Accountant to join our Finance Team.

About the Role
· Encouraged to grow and learn professionally.
· Full-Time position
· Preparation of BAS and individual tax returns including compilation of associated workpapers ready for review.
· Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and partnerships; and
· Perform month-end and year-end account reconciliations, including reconciling the general ledger against payroll, timesheets and expense claims.
· Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
· Contribute to internal and external audit processes by preparing financial analysis, reconciliations and supporting documentation, and responding to auditor queries.
· Assist with tax related tasks and broader statutory reporting and regulatory compliance as required.
· Assist with the upkeep and positive health of cash flow across the business by analysing aged debtors & assisting in lowering our debtor days.
· General accounting procedures for day to running of the accounts function such as processing of timesheets, checking input from other accounts team members, assisting consultants across the business with accounts queries, speaking with external clients around accounts queries etc.

Key Skills
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CA (or working towards) desirable.
· At least 2 years experience as a General Accountant or in a similar role.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards and financial regulations.
· Familiarity with payroll, timesheet and expense management systems.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
