About the Role

We're seeking a motivated and organised Clinic Administration Officer / Medical Screener to join our team at our Kewdale Clinic on a full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth operation of the clinic by managing patient bookings, coordinating administration processes and conducting occupational health screening assessments.

You will work closely with our clinical and administration teams to provide a high standard of service, helping support workplace health, safety and wellbeing outcomes for our clients. Previous medical or occupational health experience is highly regarded; however, full training and support will be provided for the right candidate who is eager to learn and develop their skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Providing a professional and welcoming experience for clients, visitors and stakeholders, both in person and over the phone.
  • Coordinating appointments, managing bookings and responding to client enquiries.
  • Managing medical results and supporting the smooth flow of clients through the clinic.
  • Processing invoicing and assisting with day-to-day clinic administration.
  • Administering health questionnaires and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and confidentially.
  • Conducting a range of occupational health screening assessments, including audiometry, spirometry and drug and alcohol testing (training provided where required).
  • Collecting and processing pathology specimens in accordance with established procedures.
  • Preparing and maintaining medical equipment and screening areas to ensure they are clean, stocked and ready for use.
  • Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional service and support positive health outcomes for our clients.

About You

The successful candidate will be a confident and organised healthcare professional who enjoys variety, working with people and delivering high-quality service in a busy clinical environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting clinic operations.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism and high standards of service.
  • Willingness and ability to learn medical screening processes and occupational health procedures.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in medical administration, healthcare reception or a clinical environment.
  • Experience conducting occupational health screening assessments.
  • Experience with audiometry, spirometry or specimen collection.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety principles.
