About the Role:

In this position, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the patient journey is as smooth and stress-free as possible. You will support clinical teams through manual handling, patient transport, emergency response, the movement of medical equipment, after-hours courier duties, male pre-operative shaves, and Mortuary services.

As part of the Wardsperson team, you will ensure the correct patient is collected and transported in line with procedures, while maintaining patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality at all times. The team is committed to being responsive and helpful, supporting wherever possible within scope of practice.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills who thrives in a team environment and understands the importance of collaboration and a positive workplace culture. You’ll be adaptable, flexible, and ready to take on a role where no two days are the same.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

  • Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
  • Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
