Join the Surgical Specialist Outpatient Clinics team at Mt Druitt Hospital, where you'll play a vital role in supporting clinicians and delivering outstanding patient centred care across the Blacktown Mount Druitt Hospital network. What you'll be doing
As an Administration Officer, you will provide high level administrative support to Surgical Specialist Outpatient Clinics, ensuring the smooth coordination of patient appointments, clinical documentation and specialist services. You'll work independently while collaborating with clinicians and colleagues to deliver efficient, accurate and confidential administrative services.

  • Coordinate outpatient appointments, patient records and clinical documentation using electronic health systems

  • Provide high quality administrative support including correspondence, meeting coordination, reporting and minute taking

  • Manage Medicare billing, consultant payments, data quality activities and electronic reporting

  • Liaise with patients, General Practitioners, consultants and clinical teams to support continuity of care

  • Maintain administrative systems, manage stock and contribute to service improvements across outpatient clinics


How to Apply

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Programs.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with high level interpersonal skills in communicating effectively with senior personnel, departmental managers, staff and patients.

  • Capacity to work flexibly and efficiently with a multidisciplinary team environment or unsupervised with superior customer service skills.

  • Demonstrated organisational skills with ability to manage several projects concurrently.

  • Experience in preparation of written communication, such as reports, agendas and minutes.

  • Recent extensive experience using electronic billing system within a face paced medical environment.

  • Have/or willing to complete a medical terminology course.
