Full job description
What your day could look like
As a Medical Records Administrator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring clinicians have the right information at the right time. From maintaining accurate records to supporting patient flow across the hospital, your work helps deliver safe, timely care for the community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Ensuring patient records are accurate, accessible and delivered where they're needed most, enabling seamless care
Supporting clinical teams by managing both digital and paper-based records systems with efficiency and care
Prioritising urgent requests and coordinating record movements to keep appointments and treatments on track
Building strong working relationships while delivering responsive, courteous service across the hospital
Let's talk about you!
You're organised, dependable and bring a calm, focused approach to your work, even when things get busy. You take pride in getting the details right because you know it matters to patient care. Whether you're navigating systems or supporting colleagues, you act with integrity, treat others with dignity, and contribute to a positive, team-first environment. You're motivated by making a meaningful impact and being part of a service that supports the wellbeing of the community.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Strong accuracy and attention to detail when handling sensitive information
Confidence using computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands effectively
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to service-focused teamwork
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in a healthcare or records environment and/or familiarity with medical terminology.
Most importantly, you're someone who values compassion, integrity and teamwork, and wants to contribute to better care outcomes every day.
