The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
An opportunity exists for a dynamic Nursing Leader to join the Mental Health Service at Nepean Hospital as the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) – Triage and Assessment Centre and Intake and Referral Team.
You will be a Nursing Leader with a passion for delivering high-quality services and leading teams through collaboration, innovation and clinical excellence. You'll be part of a progressive Mental Health Service that is committed to innovation, collaboration and excellence in patient care. This role offers the opportunity to influence the delivery of frontline Mental Health services and lead a dedicated team that plays a critical role in improving access to care.

- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) AND extensive relevant post registration nursing experience.
- Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise and negotiate with clinicians, managers, staff and other key stakeholders and manage conflict.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services in the contemporary health care environment.
