Medical Receptionist (Casual)

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our busy general practices on a casual basis.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in providing excellent customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and managing appointments.
  • Answering phone calls and responding to enquiries.
  • Processing patient registrations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Managing billing, Medicare claims, and EFTPOS transactions.
  • Liaising with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • General administrative and reception duties.

About You

  • Previous medical reception experience is preferred.
  • Experience using Best Practice medical software is highly regarded.
  • Training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a busy environment.
  • Professional presentation and a caring, patient-focused approach.
