Full job description

The role is a part time permanent casual position reporting to the Chief Radiographer, working Monday To Friday, between clinic hours of 8:30am - 5pm.

Role Overview:

This role will see you working clinic hours assisting in VASCULAR PROCEDURES AND INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES UNDER ULTRASOUND.

In this role, you will prepare patients for examinations, support key stakeholders with both clinical and administrative responsibilities, and carry out tasks that help ensure clinics operate smoothly and efficiently

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Willingness to undertake training in IV cannulation
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

Reporting to the Technical Supervisor you will:

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by assisting them to change, confirming their identity, obtaining consent where required, and verifying referrals and bookings
  • Discharge patients in accordance with protocol, process billing accurately, and update documentation as necessary
  • Support Radiographers and Radiologists with patient positioning, sterile procedures, and contrast administration (including cannulation once certified)
  • Review and interpret referrals, source previous reports, and ensure precise data entry across multiple systems
  • Prepare and accurately label pathology slides and specimens, and conduct relevant phone enquiries regarding blood pathology
  • Set up sterile trays, prepare contrast media, and operate imaging equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, monitor stock levels, and adhere to waste management protocols.
