About Us

We are a busy medical practice committed to delivering excellent patient care. We’re looking for a friendly, organised team-player to support our doctors and medical staff, handle reception operations, and help implement process improvements.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact for patients — greeting, liaising, and assisting with enquiries.
  • Support doctors and clinical staff with bookings, scheduling, and patient flow.
  • Perform general reception and administrative duties (e.g. managing appointments, processing bookings, invoicing, payments, WorkCover/insurance queries, follow-ups, and health questionnaires).
  • Help implement initiatives and improvements to streamline operations and enhance patient experience.
  • Assist with account queries and escalate to the Practice Manager or Office Manager when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working as a receptionist in a busy medical centre or healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Strong multitasking, time-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; friendly, courteous, and well-presented.
  • Knowledge of Medicare procedures and billing/insurance processes.
  • High-level computer literacy, including experience with medical software (e.g. Pracsoft, Medical Director, Best Practice — advantageous).
  • A “can-do” attitude, professional demeanor and a commitment to customer service.
  • This is a casual position, with an expected workload of approximately 15–20 hours per week. Availability to work on Saturdays is required.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay
  • Convenient location with street parking
  • Supportive, friendly team & workplace culture
  • Casual flexibility & reasonable hours
  • Opportunities to grow and develop
