About the role
This position sits within the Biomedical Engineering Department, which delivers a high‑quality medical technology support service to clinical staff across the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD). The team plays a vital role in ensuring that medical devices used to monitor, diagnose and treat patients are safe, reliable and operating at the standards required for clinical care.
The role is responsible for carrying out acceptance testing of new equipment, along with the calibration and performance verification of devices already in service. It involves undertaking preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime, responding to faults and performing repairs as needed, and ensuring all work is documented accurately in accordance with WNSWLHD requirements. Through this work, the position supports the safe and effective use of medical technology throughout the district.
