Salary: $128,143.00 - $140,954.00 + super + salary packaging

About the role
-
Keep critical medical technology performing at its best – Use your biomedical engineering expertise in the maintainence, repairs, calibration and performance verification of biomedical equipment, ensuring safe, reliable and uninterrupted clinical services. -
Lead the future of digital healthcare – Take a key role in the Single Digital Patient Record transition, supporting the safe integration and interoperability of biomedical devices with clinical information systems. -
Shape smarter equipment decisions – Lead the technical evaluation, specification, procurement, commissioning and replacement of medical equipment, using risk, utilisation and asset data to support investment and lifecycle planning. -
Be the technical expert clinicians rely on – Provide specialist engineering advice to clinical teams, support the introduction of new technologies, contribute to clinical risk assessments and help optimise the use of medical technology. -
Own the full lifecycle of biomedical assets – Oversee equipment and asset management from installation and commissioning through to maintenance, compliance and decommissioning, while managing contractors, service providers and compliance with relevant NSW Health standards and requirements.
About you
-
Qualified Biomedical Engineer with a degree in Biomedical, Clinical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification recognised under the NSW Biomedical Engineers Award. -
Healthcare engineering experience with a strong understanding of biomedical equipment and the ability to prioritise competing workloads while working to operational, clinical and financial deadlines. -
Experienced project leader with a track record of delivering medical technology projects, ideally including biomedical device connectivity and integration with EMR/EHR or other clinical information systems. -
A confident communicator and stakeholder manager who can build strong relationships, negotiate and influence effectively across clinical, technical and external teams, while managing service providers to agreed performance standards. -
Strong systems and compliance capability, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and asset/facilities management systems, plus a solid understanding of WHS, Australian Standards, healthcare regulations and relevant compliance frameworks
