What you'll be doing

As a Medical Diagnostic Radiographer Level 3 Grade 1, you will provide high-quality specialised mammographic services while supporting excellence in patient care, safety and clinical education. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate breast imaging services that contribute to early detection and positive patient outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing high-quality mammographic examinations and procedures
  • Maintaining mammography QA standards and equipment performance
  • Providing compassionate, patient-focused care and reassurance
  • Supporting education, mentoring and clinical development of staff
  • Participating in rotating rosters and outreach screening services

This role is ideal for an experienced Mammographer seeking greater clinical variety, career progression and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a specialist breast imaging service.

We’re seeking motivated professionals who are passionate about women’s health, clinical excellence and delivering outstanding patient experiences.
You will bring:
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
  • Clinical Proficiency in Mammography Certificate (CPM/CCPM)
  • Current NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
  • Strong knowledge of BreastScreen Australia standards and QA processes
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

Essential Requirements:
  • Qualification: Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
  • License: NSW Environment Protection Agency EPA Radiation Licence IA14

Selection Criteria:
  • Possession of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography Certificate (CPM), is registered with AHPRA and has current NSW Radiation Licence
  • Provide high quality Breast Imaging service that is patient focused, according to the objectives and policies of the BCI
  • High level customer service skills, and effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
  • Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues, problem solving and formulating new approaches
  • Working knowledge of mammography equipment and knowledge of BreastScreen Australia Program and the National Accreditation Standards
