Supervised Medical Officer - ALERT

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments for up to 5 years.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2026.

Position Profile:
This position forms an essential part of our dedicated 24/7 team recognising and responding to clinical deterioration of patients within Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG). The position holder will have a key role in team leadership, education and support of the multi-disciplinary team.

The team is led by consultants with expertise in emergency and general medicine and intensive care, supported by a dedicated team of resident medical officers working alongside senior critical care nurses. Teaching and training time is quarantined to ensure the continuing development of all team members.

There is an additional opportunity to combine ALERT terms with a limited number of Emergency Medicine or Intensive Care terms, please indicate your interest in either of these options in your covering letter.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

Fremantle Hospital (FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
