Your role:

As a Doctor, Dentist, or Psychologist in the Navy, you’ll provide healthcare and wellbeing services to Navy personnel, supporting operations both at sea and ashore.

  • Doctor

As a Navy Doctor, you’ll lead a tight-knit team and provide medical services using the Navy’s state of the art, fully equipped medical facilities either ashore or onboard ships. You will play an important role and provide healthcare that is crucial to keeping all Navy personnel healthy.

  • Dentist

As a Dentist in the Navy, you’ll provide the full range of dental treatments from general to specialist services, to help keep members fit and healthy. The facilities you'll work in will range from large multi-dentist surgeries offering the full range of general and specialist dental services, to single dentist clinics at a base or in a ship. All are modern and fully equipped and you’ll be supported by well-trained dental and clerical staff.

  • Psychologist

As a Psychologist in the Navy, you will be responsible for providing mental health and psychological services to Navy personnel both at sea and on land. Navy Psychologists are responsible for offering psychological assessments, brief interventions, mental health screenings, critical incident support, and mental health training.

Salary:

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you’ll enjoy a package starting from $117,869 for Psychologists, $131,093 for Dentists and $138,979 per annum for Doctors.

Eligibility:

  • For these roles, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, have completed Year 12 and obtained a high enough entrance rank to qualify entry into the relevant degree program for Undergraduate entry.
